Menopause is the Heroine’s Journey

The journey of menopause is deep, murky, messy, enlightening, clarifying, destructive, illuminating, and a potent rite of passage. It is a true heroine's journey.

Before I was in it, I did not understand the magnitude of what women navigate during this chapter of their lives. The extremes on so many levels, the breakdowns and breakthroughs, the shedding of identity and rebirthing on every level of their being.

I certainly do not have the "magic" answer (hint: it doesn't exist!!), nor do I have it all figured out... yet, what I am offering is validation, reflection, affirmation, compassion, witness, and authentic care for my fellow menopausal women.

This passage goes *far* beyond that of navigating physical symptoms...It is an excavation of our entire way of existing.

I believe that we need women around us who are navigating these varying phases of the journey…who are in their process of their own unfolding and have the capacity to hold witness to others doing the same.

We need women around us who have navigated the various terrains of life in their own unique ways.

Women who have been through the trenches and have found the gold.

Women who are doing the work to find breath in their own skin and purpose for their pain.

Women who are choosing, every day, to show up to the best of their ability and meet whatever flavor of life is being presented to them.

Women who we feel safe and accepted with where we can drop the layers of limiting stories and beliefs and open to new possibilities.
