A Story of Transformation
Our annual MidSummer Women's Wellness Retreat is rapidly approaching, and a few spaces remain open. There is an incredible group of women coming together this summer! Some returning for the 4th, 5th, and 6th time, familiar and intimately known to me, and others stepping into the work for the first time.
I am truly so excited and deeply honored to be offering this opportunity in retreat for many women to pivot in their lives.
To take empowering steps forward on their life path, to connect from their beautiful hearts and feel what it feels like to be seen and heard for exactly who they are...raw, truthful, badass, wise, evolving selves.
A body, heart, and soul reset and one that is supportive on an embodied level to help to hold and usher women in these troubling times.
We have the time and space to come and let our armor down and connect from our vulnerable and weary hearts.
To receive the love, kindness, compassion, and acceptance that so many are longing for (and that are non-negotiable human needs!).
We live in a time of deep isolation. Yet, I will boldly say that the unexpected beauty of social media and the internet is the way they have kept us connected.
We must also find those opportunities for in-the-flesh, authentic, vulnerable, safe, accepting, loving interactions. Where we can cry, laugh, hug, fall apart and stand tall, nourish, and reconnect with the essence of who we are... women...mothers, daughters, sisters, lovers, partners, healers...broken yet beautifully intact.
A story of transformation....
I wanted to share a snippet of one of the many stories of transformation from being a part of the annual Joyful Journey retreat. Over the past 6 years there have certainly been many women who have come and gone. Some who have chosen to return many years in a row...who were inspired to take action on their own behalf in profound ways.
One of the most touching and powerful encounters that I have witnessed guiding over the past many years was a young 30-something mom of 2 who had never done anything like this retreat experience before. She had never sat in circles of women sharing, she had never done practices in the group setting (only virtual at home). She had never immersed herself in her personal process, and when she first arrived, was drowning in her life.
She knew she needed a reset on every level and magically found her way to Joyful Journey. I'll never forget the first circle that she sat in and shared. She could barely choke out two sentences as not only was she scared to speak, but it was almost as if she did not have the words to even articulate her experience. So, the first year she spoke, minimally, she cried a lot, she moved her body and her energy, she made new connections, and she committed to continuing to do the work.
She chose to start doing 1:1 work with me, as well as dove into one of the circles that I was running. The following years at Joyful Journey, she continued to share and each year with more courage, more confidence, and a deeper ability to articulate her experience through words.
She relaxed more into herself and felt what it felt like to share vulnerably and be seen and heard without judgment by the other women. This had and continues to have profound rippling effects in her world.
There are so many micro and macro stories of transformation from the retreat experience and deep reset that has set into motion palpable change in so many different women's lives.
Entire trajectories of life have pivoted, relationships have been transformed, empowerment has bubbled to the forefront of these women's existence, careers have transitioned in more aligned ways and so much more.
