Discomfort of Change
There is something bubbling beneath the surface. Can you feel it? As the outer world intensity seems to be heightening there are so many who are feeling those sparks of possibility from deep within.
The seeds that are being planted in a more rooted and sustainable way.
We are receiving glimmers of a new way… of moving through our lives more connected to truth, integrity, and alignment. More grounded in our hearts and held in love.
A deeper appreciation for this life we have been given and moments of awe in the magnitude of it all.
We are changing as individuals and morphing as a collective.
And change is rarely comfortable. Yet, if we can allow ourselves to stay in the discomfort without abandoning ourselves, punishing ourselves, going to the place that something is “wrong” with us…we gain the capacity to access a new plane of existence.
We can teach ourselves to ride the waves of life and move through harder moments integrated, embodied, and deeply connected to who we are.
We live in a culture that promotes avoiding feeling the more uncomfortable feelings, emotions, sensations, and states of being. We are taught to grasp for something, anything, anyone to “make it better”.
Society has set us up to be addicted to the “good” and to avoid the “bad/hard/uncomfortable” …
However, if we can sink into ourselves in those moments of discomfort and stay awake and present for the array of “harder” emotions and feelings, we allow ourselves to move through and come out on the other side.
We can learn how to feel what we need to feel, without bypassing/stuffing/avoiding and circulate our energy allowing it to move through us rather than embed in our bodies. When we bypass, berate, cling, avoid, stuff these harder emotions, they can become lodged in our cells, our bones, and our tissues and can cause a whole array of issues on many levels (physical, emotional, spiritual).
Just a short moment of acknowledgment that so many are changing and are feeling incredibly uncomfortable in this change process. If you are struggling right now and feeling the discomfort, please know there is nothing wrong with you. This is an essential component of changing and growing.
As always, I am here for support. Perhaps this is a moment along your path to dive into some personal work.
I would be honored to connect in any way in support of your journey of life.
