Mixing It Up

I found myself feeling very heavy, heart-achy, emotional, and unmotivated at the end of last week. That Full Moon in my home sign of Scorpio certainly churned the emotions and rattled my bones…(Oh, and then there is menopause! I will dive into that journey again here soon…).

I cried. I processed. I reflected.

By the end of the week, I just wanted to rest.

Exhaustion to the core…and not just mine I am well aware of, but also feeling the angst of humanity as the empath that I am. Feeling the hatred and division, the pain and suffering, the violence and harm.

In the fog of my own exhaustion, I simultaneously am feeling that spark of passion to continue to rise up, to show up, and to support as many women as I possibly can in navigating these wild waters of life.

It is my commitment to myself and to you, the greater community. I am here for any support and/or connection along this windy road of life.

Please do not hesitate to reach out at any juncture along the way.

Now to my story…

In the aftermath and exhale of the week’s swirls, I had a meeting with my dear friend, mentor, and longtime business coach at her home. I had given her the preparation instructions, aka heads up, the day before our time together that I needed a kick in the arse.

A big nudge and some help with clarity and next steps.

I pulled up to her home and noticed a paper face down by her garage. We (myself and her husband) flipped it over to discover that it had my name and some notes from a long-ago previous session on it. Cheri takes notes on plain white paper during every session and keeps them in a folder.

This was such a random finding, and I later learned (and saw!!) that as I was pulling up to her home, a gust of wind came and opened “my” folder and took many of the papers of my life, my business, and my process on a dance in the air and around her yard.

I have worked with Cheri on and off for about 5 years so there is a lot in there.

We were laughing as she was retrieving the pieces of this puzzle of my life, my business, and my process…reading them as clues to what information I needed to hear and see in this moment in time.

As the days passed since that encounter, and by nature my approach to life as one of always looking for meaning around the unfolding of events, I really took it as a sign from the Universe that it is time for me to mix it up.

Time to shake things up and do *some* things differently.

Perhaps this message also lands for you along your path of life. We are all transitioning into the official start of Summer – with the kids out of school – and a new rhythm and energy for many.

For me personally, I am refocused on getting my book completed (a nearly 15-year process!). It feels like a piece that I can offer humanity, that can help women feel less alone on their journeys of life – the ups and downs, ins and outs, the crevices and speed bumps.

In this time of feeling as though we do not have control over much that is unfolding…we can, perhaps, focus on all that we can do, rather than what we cannot.

For me and my process, pouring my energy into getting this long-awaited book completed, feels like a declaration to the Universe of potential and possibility, rather than contraction and limitation.

Where in your life do you feel as though you could shift your perspective around focusing on what you can do rather than what you cannot? Can you imagine the impact of doing so? It may just be time for you to also start to mix things up!!
