What is Embody & Rise?

Embody & Rise: Dancing in Community is a guided, free-form dance and embodiment experience — a space to move, breathe, and connect with yourself and others in an uplifting circle.

Movement is medicine — we all know that when we move our bodies, we feel better. But how we move matters.

Our bodies need diversity and permission: space to breathe, open, reconnect, ground, and unwind. When we move intuitively, we let the body lead and something shifts.

When we lose ourselves in dance, we return to wholeness. We get out of our heads and into our bodies. We arrive here, now.

We shake out what’s stuck, create space inside, and tap into joy, connection, and perspective. There’s no choreography and no expectations—just your body, your rhythm, your truth.

This is a space to come home to yourself and to meet your body and heart exactly where you are in this moment. We come as we are and leave a little more transformed.

Meet your guide,

the woman behind Embody & Rise:

Alison Rothman MA CYT has been creating safe, transformative spaces for women for decades — through retreats, events, circles, coaching, and holistic practices. Embody & Rise invites you to dip into this same work: a place to connect, feel, open, grow, and heal.

What Women are Saying

“Transformative and Nurturing - Alison's Dancing In Community class was full of life! Her intuitive, nurturing nature creates such a safe, caring space. As someone new to movement classes and women's circles, I was surprised how comfortable I felt sharing my heart. The rhythmic music and collective safety allowed me to dance like I haven't in years - it's also a solid full-body workout at your own pace. I entered seeking grounding and found so much more. I felt renewed. Highly recommend for anyone looking for genuine connection and a somatic body release.”

~ Hope Kleist

“I have been regularly attending the Dancing in Community Practice with Alison for the past year. I can honestly say that I look forward to it every time it is offered!! It has changed so much for me in my life and truly does enhance my relationship with myself and my body. The safe and welcoming environment, the laughter and connections, the movement (both smaller and more wild!), and sharing have created such a transformational experience for myself and I know so many others. I am so grateful that Alison keeps offering it month after month!”
