Alison Rothman MA CYT brings to this practice as a beloved community resource. She has a passion for supporting others in growing and healing in a safe and welcoming environment. She believes so strongly in the medicine in movement and in the power of community. Bridging conscious movement in safe community provides the platform for healing in immeasurable ways.

Women’s Intutive Dance Practice

Movement is medicine. We all know that when we move our bodies, we feel better. Period.

 However, how we move our bodies does make a difference.

The body needs diversity in the movement...it needs permission to move how it intuitively needs to... it needs the space to breathe and open and reconnect and ground and unwind. 

When we lose ourselves in dance, we find a sense of wholeness and connection. When we dance we get out of our heads and into our bodies, we connect to the here and now.

Embody & Rise: Dancing in Community is a guided, free-form dance and embodiment experience — a space to move, breathe, share and connect with yourself and others in an uplifting circle.

We connect with our beautiful bodies, shake out the gunk from our systems, create some space from within, and tap into some joy, connection, and perspective. There is no dance experience necessary. There are no expectations in this space.

No steps to follow. No format to stay on or stay in.

This is a space for you to come and be with yourselves, with your beautiful bodies, with your hearts, and with the intention of following your own inner rhythm of need and connection with yourself exactly where you are in this moment.

Alison has been connecting women in safe spaces through retreats, events, circles, coaching, and other holistic wellness practices for decades and this offering is an opportunity to dip into the work. She is passionate about holding these containers for women to come, connect, be, feel, open, grow, and heal.

When we can blend the freedom of movement with the intimacy, authenticity, and vulnerability of connection in community...healing happens

Magic happens each time we enter this sacred space. We come as we are full of courage and vulnerability. We leave a bit more transformed.

Embody & Rise: Dancing in Community is a guided, free-form, intuitive dance and embodiment experience — a space to move, breathe, share and connect with yourself and others in an authentic, safe, and uplifting circle.

This isn’t just a dance practice. It’s an invitation to come home to yourself through movement, music, and soulful community.

Rooted in the 6 Pulses practice:

  • Arriving: Shifting from doing to being. Tuning in. Present moment awareness. Allowing. Dropping in.

  • Igniting: Forward movement. Exhale. Fierce. Truth. Boundaries. Permission. Strong. Warrior energy.

  • Unraveling: Shedding. Releasing. Surrender. Liberation. Softening. Freedom. Shaking it out.

A sacred rhythm of movement, connection, and becoming.

There are NO steps or choreography for this practice. Alison Rothman will facilitate with music and movement prompts that are influenced by her 25+ years of study and practice, yet, this is for you to move as you need to. There will also be time for self-reflective journaling (please bring a journal)

Dates: Wednesdays from 6pm - 7:30pm (1st and 3rd IN PERSON, 2nd and 4th VIRTUAL)

Location: In person dances are at: Una Vida Meditation and Movement Studio in Niwot, CO. and Virtual are through Zoom (link given through the membership portal)

Time: 6:00pm - 7:30pm — feel free to come at 5:45 to settle in — we will begin at 6pm sharp so do text Alison if you are running late!
