Embody & Rise: The Power of Community
These days, it seems that every week brings a new wave of shock rippling through humanity. In my parenting journey, I often laugh and say, “it’s always something.” And it’s true — raising a child brings daily challenges and surprises.
What I notice now is how this truth is mirrored in the wider world, only on a much greater and more intense scale.
As I was writing this to you, the news popped in about yet another horrific school shooting piggybacking on the swatting that occurred Monday at many Universities, including the one in my hometown.
For me, it is impossible not to be touched by these unfoldings. My heart feels tender as I take in the weight of what we are collectively moving through and the countless innocent lives being affected.
In this vein, recognizing that the waves are not subsiding and that there really feels to bealways somethingto be dealing with -- in our own children, in our relationships, in our families and communities, in our work, and/or simply witnessing these horrific acts that are continuously unfolding.
To me, the call to action is that we must as individuals and communities do whatever we can to stay anchored in ourselves, in our bodies and hearts, and to each other.
As many of you know, I’ve been guiding programs for women in many different forms over the years. While most have unfolded in person, I also held a powerful virtual women’s circle for four years. Through that experience, I witnessed firsthand how deeply this work translates across distance — connection, healing, and transformation flowing through the screen.
I believe and feel in my bones how absolutely critical it is for us to stay connected and plugged into communities where we can rest our weary hearts, feel seen and heard in our truth, and held for all that our souls are longing for.
Today is simply an introduction to what is coming. The Embody & Rise: Dancing in Community practiceand circle has been so profoundly healing for the women who are attending consistently that I am also feeling called to expand that and create a virtual option as well.
September will be the soft launch of this community experience with 2 options to get plugged into the community!
All dances and circles will be on Wednesday nights from 6 to 7:30 PM MST (1stand 3rdWednesdays IN PERSON and 2ndand 4thWednesdays VIRTUAL).
They will all include a check-in circle, a long dance and rest, time for writing, and a closing safe sharing circle.
Below are the two offers and as a founding member I am offering50% off your 1stmonthif you sign up in September.(Use the discount code:EMBODYANDRISE)
Whichever offer you choose will feed into a community platform (in the works!) where we can stay connected in the in between. This community platform will be the hub of the community and will offer bonus wellness tips, reminders, and inspiration, community support and moderated sharing, and many other gems along the way.
Although this community portal is not quite ready for action, I did not want to wait until that was “perfect” asit feels so critical right now to be in this dance of lifetogether.
(September is also the height of eclipse season and will, without a doubt, bring some other twists and turns!) This is not to ensue fear, but rather to be proactive in our practices. To hopefully offer the inspiration and motivation to do whatever we need to stay anchored, grounded, and connected.Join me!!
Let us do what we must to stand tall, stay in alignment, and remain tethered—to our own hearts and to the communities that help us remember who we are.
I am always out here for support and connection. Please do not hesitate to reach out!
Take good care of yourselves and be kind to each other.
